There was no shortcut.
The early days were full of uncertainty. Money had to be used carefully. Finding the right fabric, the right fit and the right production quality took time. Samples had to be changed. Designs had to be reworked. Suppliers had to be called again and again. Packaging, printing, photography, website work, shipping and marketplace requirements — we had to learn almost every part of the business ourselves.
There were days when things simply did not go as planned. Stock could sit without moving. A production decision could cost more than expected. A courier issue could turn a simple order into a problem. There were moments when it would have been easier to stop, but every difficult day also taught us something that no book could.
